What We Do

Four connected programme areas that protect rights and build futures – from crisis to leadership.

Every programme is survivor-centred and community-rooted. Together, they meet women and girls where they are, and walk with them toward safety, healing, and leadership.

Programme 01

Psychosocial Support Services

Our psychosocial support services offer healing and hope to girls and women affected by trauma and violence. We provide trauma-informed counselling through trained professionals in both individual and group sessions, creating confidential spaces where survivors can process their experiences at their own pace. We believe that mental health is integral to wellbeing and empowerment, that’s why our approach goes beyond addressing symptoms to help women and girls rebuild trust, reconnect with their strengths, and reclaim agency over their life.

When specialized mental health care is needed, we bridge the gap by connecting survivors with professional clinical therapists and legal aid through our trusted partner network. Our survivor-centred approach recognizes the resilience of women and girls, and puts their needs at the centre of everything we do.

Programme 02

Safe Spaces & Peer Leadership

Safety begins with community. We establish physical and emotional safe spaces in schools and communities where girls can learn, grow, and report incidents of violence without shame or fear of retaliation. These spaces provide more than just a listening ear, they’re hubs of learning, support, and peer solidarity.

Our SGBV (Sexual and Gender-Based Violence) Ambassadors program goes further: we train young women to become leaders and advocates within their own communities. These ambassadors develop peer counselling skills, lead awareness sessions, and champion girls’ rights among their peers. In amplifying young voices and transforming girls into change-makers, we ensure that support comes not just from adults, but from trusted peers who truly understand what’s at stake.

Programme 03

Advocacy

Change requires courage and collective action. Through strategic advocacy campaigns, community dialogues, and capacity-building initiatives, we challenge the harmful norms and systems that perpetuate violence and marginalize women and girls. Our work addresses critical issues: sexual and reproductive health rights, gender-based violence, child marriage, female genital mutilation, and more.

Central to our advocacy is intergenerational dialogue, bringing together elders, community leaders, young women, and girls to close gaps in understanding and build shared responsibility for change. We equip communities with knowledge, provide platforms for difficult conversations, and work alongside local actors and policymakers to ensure that girls’ rights aren’t just discussed, they’re defended and protected in practice.

Programme 04

Awareness & Community Mobilization

Communities are always at the frontline of change. To realise we hold education campaigns, community mobilization, and grassroots organizing, to prevent gender-based violence, sexual violence, harmful traditional practices, and other threats to girls’ wellbeing and rights. We don’t simply deliver messages, we spark conversations, challenge beliefs, and mobilize collective action for change.

Our approach is rooted in the conviction that sustainable change comes from within communities themselves. By engaging families, religious leaders, youth groups, and local organizations, we build movements where community members become advocates for girls’ rights in their own circles. We achieve this through feminist grassroots actions instead of top-down approaches.
